We took a 4-athlete team to the Special Olympics Fall Classic Swim State Competition in Midland, TX! Congratulations to athletes Maripaz Gonzalez-Cito, Isabella Schiess, Rebecca Stone, and Jeffrey Walker!

Boerne Blaze was recognized as the Boerne Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit of the Year for 2025 at the Chamber Award Gala in January!

The basketball Big Game in February was another enormous success, filling the Boerne Champion High School gym. In March, the Boerne Fire Dept and the Boerne Police Dept. hosted their 3rd annual unified kickball game with Boerne Blaze! Super fun! The Boerne Star newspaper ran a very nice feature on the game - https://www.boernestar.com/article/12999,boerne-blaze. 

Our cycling athletes practiced hard for eight weeks leading up to the Area Competition in April where they braved wind, rain, and chilly weather on the Tree of Life church parking lot to bring home many medals and memories. One week later, our cycling starts were led by Boerne Police, Boerne Fire, and Kendall County Sheriffs on a trail ride from Curington ES around Main Plaza and back to celebrate their season.

Also in April, Boerne Blaze and the Boerne City Park Tennis Center was host to the SOTX Area Tennis competition where our athletes showed off the fruits of their hard work.
