SONA (Special Olympics North America) participates in a national unified sports bowling tournament. It is held in Reno, Nevada this year. Boerne Blaze is taking one 4-woman team to this event. This is the first time we have ever participated in a national competition! Our team consists of BBSO athletes Carley Fisk and Kristal Leos. Unified partners are Hayley Fisk and JP Posey. All is under the direction of BBSO head coach Angela Fisk. The tournament begins on Tuesday, Feb. 28 with a clinic for the athletes followed by competition with doubles and with the 4-person team. Come join in the fun and cheer on the Boerne Blaze basketball team at the Champion High School gym. Our group is divided into the black team and the teal team. Unified partners will be with us on the court. Everyone plays!
