ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Katie Katie is a 21 year old athlete with the Boerne Blaze. She has been with us for many years, and is a joy to have around. She usually participates in swimming and cycling and this year also did the indoor triathlon. She always seems happy to be at practice and works hard. She is steady and consistent. Katie’s favorite sport is swimming but she loves anything outdoors. |

Sisters Melanie and Ashley live in Indiana. Brother Matt is in administration with NISD and Chris lives in Austin. They all keep up with Katie.

Katie also participates in Cross Fit, rides horses, and goes to Port Aransas to build sandcastles every weekend she can! Katie is also active with our Jericho group (Christian fellowship for young adults with special needs). She may not be real vocal, but she is a listener, a doer, and gets her needs known. 
In the sports year 2015-2016, Katie was awarded Boerne Blaze Athlete of the Year! |
