Regina Drollinger
Sports: Indoor Triathlon/Running
Special Olympics Experience: I started coaching Special Olympics in 2023.
Background: I graduated from UTSA December 2020 with a BS degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. I work for Methodist Healthcare System as a Recruiter & enjoy helping people find a job. I grew up in Queens, New York and moved to Boerne, Texas in July 2006. In my younger years, I played softball in high school. In 1992, Jogging became my passion and my therapy to fight stress.
Why I Love Coaching Special Olympics: It is my opportunity to give back to the Special Needs community and to Boerne Blaze family. When my son became an athlete, I was able to see up close the dedication and mentoring he received from his coaches. I wanted to do the same thing for other kids. I like to create a safe environment for the kids where they can feel comfortable and safe every time we are walking or running. I want my athletes to learn to embrace walking or running or just being active as a fun thing to do every day.
