Special Olympics Experience: I started volunteering and coaching Special Olympics in 2009

Background: After living in Boerne for 22 years, my job took us to move to Kingsland, Texas (by Marble Falls)   We manage the Lake LBJ Inn in Kingsland. 

Why I Love Coaching Special Olympics: My family has been very involved with Boerne Special Olympics for a long time. My son, Neil (age 29) is an athlete, my wife volunteers with events, and I am a certified basketball coach. But I am at every sport and help out however I can!

With few Special Olympics options here and missing our BBSO family in Boerne, we have started participating again any time we can. lt is a drive to get to and from, but it is worth it and we love being with our friends and Boerne Blaze Family! This year, Neil was able to participate in the triathlon and now we are both participating with basketball, pickleball, bowling, and cycling
