Head of Delegation of Boerne Blaze Special Olympics

Head Coach: Indoor Triathlon

Certified/Assistant Coach: Aquatics, bowling, Principles of Coaching, Tennis, Topgolf, Unified Sports

Special Olympics Experience: 19 years

Background: I am a retired licensed pediatric physical therapist with 36 years of professional experience. More importantly, I am the mother of a 31-year-old son, Adam, who is a Special Olympics athlete. Adam participates in every sport we offer, with swimming as his primary sport.

Why I Love Coaching Special Olympics: I believe in meeting athletes where they are, celebrating their abilities and differences, and supporting their growth in a safe and positive environment.  My goal is to help athletes develop not only physical fitness, but also sportsmanship, social skills, confidence, and a strong sense of self-worth. I also hope Boerne Blaze encourages families to fully embrace their special athlete while fostering a sense of belonging for both athletes and their families.
