Special Olympics Experience: I started volunteering and coaching Special Olympics in 2022.

Background: I graduated from Texas Tech with a BS degree in Physical Education and Special Education, and a master’s degree in Sports Administrative / Business Administration. I coached and taught for 10 years.   I also worked for the Boerne ISD Transportation Dept. as the Special Needs Coordinator and as a Special Needs Bus Driver. I have competed in sports for 50+ years.

Why I Love Coaching Special Olympics: These athletes “fill my bucket!” They give me way more than I can give to them!! They have helped me learn that it’s about the journey, not the destination! I strive to create a positive learning environment built with integrity, grace and respect for unique individuals. I want to foster growth in my athletes to be the best they can be both during and away from the sport.
