Background: Angela Fisk has been involved with Special Olympics for over 13 years and is passionate about creating opportunities for athletes to succeed both on and off the field of play. She currently serves as the Head Bowling Coach for Boerne Blaze and also coaches swimming, basketball, track & field, bocce, tennis, flag football, and Unified Sports. In addition to coaching, Angela assists with administrative and communication functions to help support the Boerne Blaze program.
Prior to re-joining Boerne Blaze in 2026, Angela served as the Head Bowling Coach and Head of Delegation in Pecos, where she gained valuable leadership experience while supporting athletes across multiple sports, including swimming, tennis, and cycling.
Why I Love Coaching Special Olympics: Angela and her husband, Chris Fisk, are both dedicated Special Olympics coaches and Unified Partners. Together, they have built a family deeply involved in the Special Olympics movement. Their daughter Hayley is a swimming coach, Unified Partner, and volunteer. Their daughter Carley, who has autism, proudly competes as a Special Olympics athlete. Their son CJ is a Unified Partner and volunteer.
Angela loves coaching because of the joy it brings to the athletes and their families. Seeing the smiles on athletes' faces and helping them achieve their goals is what motivates her every day. She believes Special Olympics is more than a sports organization—it's a family that empowers athletes, builds confidence, and creates lifelong friendships for everyone involved.
