My family has been very involved with Boerne Special Olympics for a long time. My son, Neil (age 26) is an athlete, my wife volunteers with events, and I am a certified basketball coach. But I am at every sport and help out however I can! After living in Boerne for 22 years, my job took us to move to Kingland, Texas (by Marble Falls) We manage the Lake LBJ Inn in Kingsland. With little Special Olympics options here and missing our BBSO family in Boerne, we have started participating again any time we can. It is a drive to get to and from, but it is worth it and we love being with our friends and Boerne Blaze Family! This year, Neil was able to participate in the triathlon and now we are both participating with basketball.
