 JENNY'S JOTS September 2024 I am so glad to leave the August heat behind us!! We even had to cancel swim practice for an entire week due to the temperatures within the pool enclosure! Oh, well…onward! Swim season is in the final weeks before our area meet on September 14. We have 27 athletes entered in relays and individual events. Practices have been 2 days per week for lane swimmers and one day a week for developmental swimmers. (Read More...) We also began a popular pickleball season last month. Lots of athletes. This is a first for us as a delegation, as well as the first time to be on a pickleball court for most of our athletes. Fun! Fun! Boerne Blaze kicked off our new 2024-2025 sports season (even though we already started practices in July!) on July 17th. It was one of the hottest days of the summer- we were indoors at the Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne – but it was still very hot! We estimate about 130 people attended. All athletes and coaches were given a really cool new Boerne Blaze practice jersey.
We welcomed 8 new athletes from the 23-24 sports year who earned their Boerne Blaze letter jackets! (2 others could not attend) Special awards were also presented: VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR ALLIE DAVIS  ELIZABETH HERNANDEZ SPIRIT AWARD JULIA JOHNSON and SARAH SMITH
